[Book Tag] Conquering Kindoms

IN MYTICA, THERE ARE CONSTANT BETRAYALS AND YOU CAN’T TRUST ANYONE! WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU TRUST TO BE YOUR SIDEKICK ON THIS ADVENTURE?
Liam Stewart from The Darkest Minds series, because he is so loyal towards his friends, and you want your sidekick to be loyal to you, so you can trust him, so he will not betray you, and won't stab you in the back.

YOU WILL COME ACROSS MANY WHO WANT YOU DEAD IN MYTICA, SO YOU NEED TO BE READY TO FIGHT. WHAT KIND OF WARRIOR ARE YOU?
An Archer. I always want to be an archer. I tried it once but it was so haaarddd. I need practice, yep let's practice. Wait, I need a bow and arrows, where would I get those? Oh I have a better idea, let's be Katniss and make them myself. Wait, I need woods then.

WHAT FANTASY WORLD WOULD YOU LIKE TO CONQUER?
The Seven Kingdoms in Gracelling.

WHICH FICTIONAL CHARACTER WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO RULE BY YOUR SIDE?
Elias Vitorius from An Amber In The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. He seems like a good King, or Emperor. He has seen many wrong doings in his world that he would know what to do to make it right.

WHO WOULD YOU THROW INTO THE DUNGEON?
Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles. Come on, it's Levana, you need to get rid of her. And don't put any guards in the dungeon, they're just going to be her puppets. We need to isolate her so she can die painfully lonely.

WHO GETS STABBED IN THE BACK?
Theron from Ice Like Fire. Because I just don't like him, and he deserves it.

WHAT ELEMENTAL MAGIC WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO WIELD AND WHY? (FIRE, AIR, WATER, EARTH)
EARTH!! I always want to control earth and because I admire Toph from The Legend of Avatar Aang. Wouldn't it be cool if you just flow your hands and earth will move on your will? Imagine all those things you can built.

[Book Tag] Inside Out

I love Inside Out, it shows you that people need a good cry sometimes. Don't run away from crying people (yep, that's me talking) just be there for them, you don't even have to say anything, just sit by his/her side and he/she will appreciate it.

Anyway, I found this tag while I'm watching booktube videos (of course) by Jessethereader and I just couldn't not join in. Now let's just get started.

JOY
Which book brings you the most joy?
Happy Again by Jennifer E.Smith
The funny thing is, I posted this post before picking a book for Joy, fortunately it's only a few minutes (and there are only few people who read this post :p). It's not because I've never read a book that brings me joy, it's just I couldn't pick one (figured). Picking Rainbow Rowel's is kinda obvious or Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie, or Stephanie Perkin's, so I'm picking Happy Again by Jennifer E.Smith. Happy Again is a novella, an epilogue really, of This Is What Happy Looks Like. It's not a series, I don't think Jennifer Smith ever wrote a series, but She wrote one novella about this particular book, and IT'S AWESOME. I like that there is an obstacle in relationship, especially with a holiwood star, or any Long Distance Relationship mostly, but they managed to passed it. Not to mention that Jennifer Smith really can make a girl swoon and smiling like an idiot.

SAD
Which book made you cry the hardest?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4325.Dreamland?ac=1&from_search=1
All The Bright Places, because it's obvious, and Dreamland. I cried a good cry reading Dreamland, people probably think someone died if they saw me (thankfully I read it in my room). It fills me with frustration, sadness, abandonment, and hope, hope that the parents are finally seeing their second daughter. Oh, the feels.

DISGUST
Which book grossed you out the most?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17849112-world-after?ac=1&from_search=1
World After by Susan Ee
There are these two creatures, a man-made with a little Angel magic, that really grossed me out. And they are made in a freakingly morbid kind of way, that just... bizzare. You probably need to read the book because it's a spoiler. But maybe some people who read this series will understand me.

FEAR
Which book scared you more that anything?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/176584.Nightmare_Hour?ac=1&from_search=1
The Nightmare Hour by R.L.Stine
I don't read a lot of horror book or thriller book except in highschool. My highschool library consist of Goosebumps series by R.L.Stine, so I read a lot of Goosebumps, I really like the Sircus edition but the scariest book of R.L. Stine I've read is The Nightmare Hour. It was a compilation of short stories about Halloween, and Old Man and His Pumkins (I forgot the title, but it's about an Old Man and his pumkins) is the one that still craved into my mind.

ANGER
Which book pissed you off?

Unwholly by Neil Shusterman
It's the advertisings!!! I can't continue reading it because the advertisings! And Cams. He's the new character that shows up in this book, and he is a freaking frankenstein!! WHAT THE HELL?!

[Book Tag] Unpopular Opinions

I found this tag in youtube and the tag was created by The Book Archer in her video. First, I want to apologize for every offended person who read this post. It's not my intention, I'm just voicing my opinions like every free person does. If I do offend you, author or book reader or fan of a book that I might trash here, I am deeply sorry. That being said, let's get started.

1. A popular book or series that you didn't like
I don't know how much popular this book is, The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings. I strongly dislike this book, I have a lot of disagreement with the plots and the characters and even the entire idea of the book. I mean, you couldn't just scientifically immortal because you couldn't get sick, that doesn't make sense. Take the oldest person on earth, will they live forever? No, because they will die eventually. So creating a Murder Complex system was just an idiotic and moronic thing to do.

2. A popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love
YES!
I know I mention this a lot, but.. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I really like this book and the rest of the series and when I knew of goodreads and checked the reviews of other people who read this too, I WAS SHOCK. They hated this book, they ridiculed this book, they were trashing this book. I just had no idea that this series was hated by a lot of people out there. I mean, it has an adaptation, how could the hated book has an adaptation?! -though I dislike the movie- So hate me all you like, I don't care, this book is my Cham.

3. A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with or an OTP that you don't like
Gale x Katniss x Peeta
Yes I'm Team Gale, from the beginning to the end. So when Katniss realized her feeling for Peeta, I was deeply sad, for Gale. I like boys who can protect their girls and Katniss x Peeta was otherwise. I admit Peeta protected her in his own way but still. And I know Gale was too extreme in the third book, but I still like him better. Sorry Peeta, I don't think you and Katniss are a match.

4. A popular book genre that you hardly reach for
Mystery. I couldn't seem to get pass the five chapter of mystery books genre. I tried and tried but then I gave up, whereas I really want to read one of Agatha Christie's book. Sigh.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like
Celaena in The Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. She's weird, she was supposed to be a killer yet she gave me a princess wannabe vibe.

6. A popular author that you can't seem to get into
John Green.
I know I know, how you all like John Green. He has the most beautiful writings and lovable characters and great plots and all but not to me, No. I didn't even finish The Fault In Our Star, heck, I didn't finish the movie neither. I tried and tried and tried reading it again, several times over, but I.Could.Not.Read.It.Further. So that is that.

7. A popular book trope that you're tired of seeing
A Girl Who Is In Love With Two Guys, Or More.
And then she would whine how she couldn't pick between them and I would die annoyed. Yes, I'm looking at you America Singer.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading
The Game Of Thrones.
This book is intimidating and when I watched the first episode of T.V. Adaptation, I hate it instantly -there are naked bodies in every corner-.

9. The saying goes "The book is always better that the movie", but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?
Harry Potter movie adaptations.
I watched the movies first and then I read the books. Maybe because I watched it first that I know the plot so the books don't really interest me anymore. I mean, like a spoiler. You spoiler hater people might understand right? You know how it would end, so why read it? -rereading excluded- you couldn't get the feels because you know what will happen next. There are no surprises. That's why I'm stuck with The Prisoner of Azkaban, I couldn't make myself to read the rest of the series. I just couldn't. Besides, the movie adaptations are really great, so don't judge me too much.

[Book Tag] Coffee... hmm, I Just Love Their Smell

Siapa yang ngga suka kopi hayoo? Negara kita mungkin bukan coffee addict banget semacam Amerika, tapi saya yakin mayoritas penduduk Indonesia pasti minum kopi. Hayolah langsung dimulai aja.

1. Black: Name a series that's tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
Jujur? The Lord of The Rings dan Harry Potter. Aku sempet pengen baca The Lord of The Rings, udah sampe chapter berapa ya waktu itu, pokoknya belum terlalu jauh lah tapi nyerah. Aku ngga bisa ngebayangin duniannya Tolkien, imajinasiku ngga nyampe. Terus aku juga belum selesai baca Harry Potter, udah sampe buku tiga, tapi belum diterusin, agak-agak males, soalnya udah tahu ceritanya kayak apa, jadi ngga surprise lagi, akhirnya keinginanku buat baca juga cuma ala kadarnya. Terus ada satu lagi buku yang punya banyak fans tapi aku belum baca, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Berrrkali kali nyoba baca dan gagal. Selalu ngantuk, kayaknya aku kastanya beda sama Austen :p

[Book Tag] Twilight Saga (and movies)

Ngga tau siapa yang bikin, males nyari sampe ke akarnya, anyway, let's get started.

1. What movie and book is your favorite?
Kalau untuk filmnya aku mungkin paling suka Breaking Dawn Part II, paling keren aja menurutku. Sementara untuk bukunya aku lebih milih Twilight, aku suka bagian waktu mereka pertama kali ketemu, waktu pertama kali deket, waktu pertama kali saling jujur, romantis banget. Seandainya film Twilight sebagus bukunya mungkin film favoritku di Twilight Saga bakalan jadi Twilight juga. Sayangnya aku ngga suka banget sama film Twilight, banyak banget adegan yang dipotong soalnya.

[Book Tag] Opposites

1. First book in your collection/Last book you bought:

First: Matemacinta by Razy Bintang Argian
Last: Kopiss by Miko Santoso
Alhamdulillah. Aku suka banget sama buku ini, dulu baca waktu masih kelas 2 SMP dan langsung jatuh cinta sama Rio. Ahh~ Mario! Sayangnya Razy ngga nerbitin buku apa-apa lagi, padahal dulu sempet best seller loh. Sayang banget.

[Book Tag] Would You Rather ...

I found this tag on my favorite channel on YouTube, abookutopia by Shasha which was created by RayKayBook. And even though no one tag me on this, but nobody keeping me for not doing this, so I'm doing it! So let's just begin, shall we.

1. Would you rather Read only trilogies or stand alones?
Err, sometimes I like stand alone better than a trilogy, sometimes otherwise. It all depends on the book itself. But if I have to choose, I prefer Trilogies. This way you get to be with the characters longer and know them better. And this actually prevents me from book hangover. Or make it worse.

[Book Tag] Sosial Media Tag

Aku lagi keranjingan bikin Book Tag nih. Review diyah review, udah numpuk tuh yang belum direview. Hadeeh. Okelah abaikan saja pertentangan batinku. Langsung aja ya.

1. Twitter : Your favorite shortest book (@diyah8151)
Matemacinta by Razy Bintang Argian. 224 halaman. Teenlit yang masih unyu unyu ceritanya, tapi berhubung aku baca ini waktu aku SMP jadi aku suka-suka aja. Cinta banget malah. Aku bikin reviewnya notes facebook ku.

2. Facebook : A book everyone pressured you into reading. (Diyah Nur)
Tapi kalau buku pelajaran, banyak.

3. Tumblr : A book you read before it was cool.
City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare. Katanya genrenya dunia lain gitu, aku jadi tertarik. Sayangnya sampai sekarang aku belum sempet baca City Of Ashes.

[Book Tag] The TBR Tag

1. How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

2. Is your TBR mostly print or ebook?
Berhubung TBR ku kebanyakan buku luar jadi ebook. Kalau dibandingin aja jumlahnya kontras banget.

3. How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
Liat-liat smartphone sama lemari pastinya.
