Trees of Reverie Read-A-Thon October 2015

http://treesofreverie.com/post/130945732348/trees-of-reverie-read-a-thon-october-2015-sign

Halo~
To be honest, I'm suck at reading this year, so I decided to join a read a thon 'cause weirdly enough I managed to accomplished more reading with this. A read a thon I'm going to join is as you can see Trees Of Reverie Read A Thon. This is the second time I joined this read a thon, or any read a thon for that matter. The first time was on December last year and it was fun. I didn't follow the Daily Chalenges though, I wish I could.

I don't want to make a TBR list because I never follow any TBR list I made, so I'm just going to read by following my mood. And I'm currently reading Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. So far I like it, but I don't like Grover, he's useless -I'm sorry Grover, but you are-

Since the read a thon is going to be held for two weeks, My Goal is to read at least 10 books by then.

If you want to sign up, just go to her blog @treesofreverie or click the image.

[Book Tag] Unpopular Opinions

I found this tag in youtube and the tag was created by The Book Archer in her video. First, I want to apologize for every offended person who read this post. It's not my intention, I'm just voicing my opinions like every free person does. If I do offend you, author or book reader or fan of a book that I might trash here, I am deeply sorry. That being said, let's get started.

1. A popular book or series that you didn't like
I don't know how much popular this book is, The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings. I strongly dislike this book, I have a lot of disagreement with the plots and the characters and even the entire idea of the book. I mean, you couldn't just scientifically immortal because you couldn't get sick, that doesn't make sense. Take the oldest person on earth, will they live forever? No, because they will die eventually. So creating a Murder Complex system was just an idiotic and moronic thing to do.

2. A popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love
YES!
I know I mention this a lot, but.. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I really like this book and the rest of the series and when I knew of goodreads and checked the reviews of other people who read this too, I WAS SHOCK. They hated this book, they ridiculed this book, they were trashing this book. I just had no idea that this series was hated by a lot of people out there. I mean, it has an adaptation, how could the hated book has an adaptation?! -though I dislike the movie- So hate me all you like, I don't care, this book is my Cham.

3. A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with or an OTP that you don't like
Gale x Katniss x Peeta
Yes I'm Team Gale, from the beginning to the end. So when Katniss realized her feeling for Peeta, I was deeply sad, for Gale. I like boys who can protect their girls and Katniss x Peeta was otherwise. I admit Peeta protected her in his own way but still. And I know Gale was too extreme in the third book, but I still like him better. Sorry Peeta, I don't think you and Katniss are a match.

4. A popular book genre that you hardly reach for
Mystery. I couldn't seem to get pass the five chapter of mystery books genre. I tried and tried but then I gave up, whereas I really want to read one of Agatha Christie's book. Sigh.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like
Celaena in The Throne Of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. She's weird, she was supposed to be a killer yet she gave me a princess wannabe vibe.

6. A popular author that you can't seem to get into
John Green.
I know I know, how you all like John Green. He has the most beautiful writings and lovable characters and great plots and all but not to me, No. I didn't even finish The Fault In Our Star, heck, I didn't finish the movie neither. I tried and tried and tried reading it again, several times over, but I.Could.Not.Read.It.Further. So that is that.

7. A popular book trope that you're tired of seeing
A Girl Who Is In Love With Two Guys, Or More.
And then she would whine how she couldn't pick between them and I would die annoyed. Yes, I'm looking at you America Singer.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading
The Game Of Thrones.
This book is intimidating and when I watched the first episode of T.V. Adaptation, I hate it instantly -there are naked bodies in every corner-.

9. The saying goes "The book is always better that the movie", but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?
Harry Potter movie adaptations.
I watched the movies first and then I read the books. Maybe because I watched it first that I know the plot so the books don't really interest me anymore. I mean, like a spoiler. You spoiler hater people might understand right? You know how it would end, so why read it? -rereading excluded- you couldn't get the feels because you know what will happen next. There are no surprises. That's why I'm stuck with The Prisoner of Azkaban, I couldn't make myself to read the rest of the series. I just couldn't. Besides, the movie adaptations are really great, so don't judge me too much.

[Meme] TTT: I Quit!

This week's theme is Ten Bookish Things I Want to Quit Or Have Quit (aka ten book series I think I'm going to abandon, ten bookish habits I want to quit, ten authors I quit reading, ten types of books I'm quitting, ten tropes I want to stop reading about, ten books I marked as DNF (did not finish) recently, etc. Get as creative as you want) -Boy, that was long-

Since I rarely came up with Ten, let me give you five each instead.

Five Bookish Thing I Want To Quit

1. Stop Worrying About Not Reading Anything When In A Reading Slump State
Mostly I just worried that other people still reading today while I'm not, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or the day after the day after tomorrow.. I somehow managed to read a book but then I'm back at square one. Seriously, I even made a list what most people do when they're in reading-slump and can't escape of it.

2. Don't Worry That You Were Left Behind, There Are No Deadlines In Reading
A fashion-follower people will follow what's on trend that week, or month, or year, and I'm more or less like that. When reading a book that released years ago, I kinda feel ashamed that I'm the only one that just read it. I kept telling myself that that's okay, no one cares, but honestly, I do. Because when they're discussing what they just read (which just comes out recently) I don't know what I should say.
This video might tell you how I feel, except mine's worst.

3. Stop The Envy!!
I'm full of sin. Envy is something that is hard to quit. I mean, won't you envy someone who get an ARC of a sequel of your favorite series while you don't? All people will, right? It's not just me, right? Right?!

4. Don't Feel Bad Because You Hate A Book Everyone Loves
I'm sure many people have at least one book that they hate but is loved by a lot of people. Don't feel bad, that's why the word 'Taste' is there -or so I keep telling myself-

5. Stop Forcing Your Recommendation To Your Friend
Because they're not a reader, and they won't likely read anything you recommend, so it's a waste of time.

Five Types Of Books I'll Quit Immediately

http://weheartit.com/entry/202377372/via/gertieparr

1. Cancer on Characters
Especially when the authors just want to make the book sad in the midle of the book but don't have the material and wholla cancer it is. It frustates me!! When the characters in a perfect condition in the previous chapter and then the next they have cancer?! No, I'm going to say goodbye to you. So long, I'll never remember you again.
BUT, I have an exception for characters who have cancer from the beginning of the book (Not The Fault In Our Stars!).

2. When The Girl Become Pissy
A.k.a demanding attention. Girls, boys don't rotate around you. So suck it up already!

3. When I Have Enough "F*@k" Word For One Book
Because I get sick that they have no other vocabulary beside that little four letters.

4. A Pillow Book (literaly)
When I'm so bored and yawn more than three times in just a few pages and the next thing I know I wake up with the book as my pillow is when I'll say "I don't think we'll match book, sorry". Well, who wouldn't?

5. Abnormal Attraction Between The Guy and The Girl
I'm looking at you Obsidian.

[Review] ROMA: Con Amore by Robin Wijaya

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17446796-roma?from_search=true&search_version=service
Title: ROMA: Con Amore
Author: Robin Wijaya
Series: Setiap Tempat Punya Cerita #2
Publisher: GagasMedia
Published: February 2013
ISBN: 9789797806149
Pages: 384

Pembaca tersayang,

Banyak jalan menuju Roma. Banyak cerita berujung cinta. Robin Wijaya, penulis novel Before Us dan Menunggu mempersembahkan cerita cinta dari Kota Tujuh Bukit.

Setiap tempat punya cerita. Roma seperti sebuah lukisan yang bicara tanpa kata-kata.

Enjoy the journey,
EDITOR

Betapa Sabari menyayangi Zorro. Ingin dia memeluknya sepanjang waktu.
