[Meme] TTT : I Meant To Read You, But Maybe Later

This week's theme "Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn't".
I didn't get ten though.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

WTH, right? I know. I kind of anticipated this particular book since 2014, but when it was finally released, I didn't read it, up untill now. I like the cover and the summary, and I know that many people loved this book, and currently waiting for the sequel (or is it the third book?) to come out, but I still couldn't bring myself to read it. There's just too much hype.
Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray

I loved the first book, the complexity of the story (let's be frank, it's complex), the characters, the plot, and all the things Claudia Gray wrote in this book. So maybe I didn't read it in 2015, but hey, it was released in November (which was only two months ago), which didn't particulary means that I would never read it.

Hello, Goodbye, And Everything In Between by Jennifer E. Smith

I loved her writing. My favorite book of hers is Happy Again, a novella of This Is What Happy Looks Like. So, I should probably read it now. It's Jennifer Smith's book!

Nightfall by Jake Halpern

It has such a beeaauutifull cover ever. I could almost feel the mistery and horrors in this book. What can i say, I am a sucker for this kind of book cover, like these ones :

Air Awakens by Elise Kova

'It all began when the Fire attacked' scratch that, it's not The Legend of Avatar Aang. But that is exactly what I thought when I read the title, Air, Aang is an air bender, soooooo... What? I freaking loved Aang, Korra is nothing compared to Aang, Aang is the best, I wish they rerun it again on my TV.

Invaded by Melissa Landers

Oh my, I loved Alienated, or it's novella. It's just somehow, I'm not interested in reading the sequel. It's as if the story ended in the first book (for me anyway), and there's no reason to read Invaded. But I don't know, maybe I would read it, someday.

[Meme] TTT: I Quit!

This week's theme is Ten Bookish Things I Want to Quit Or Have Quit (aka ten book series I think I'm going to abandon, ten bookish habits I want to quit, ten authors I quit reading, ten types of books I'm quitting, ten tropes I want to stop reading about, ten books I marked as DNF (did not finish) recently, etc. Get as creative as you want) -Boy, that was long-

Since I rarely came up with Ten, let me give you five each instead.

Five Bookish Thing I Want To Quit

1. Stop Worrying About Not Reading Anything When In A Reading Slump State
Mostly I just worried that other people still reading today while I'm not, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or the day after the day after tomorrow.. I somehow managed to read a book but then I'm back at square one. Seriously, I even made a list what most people do when they're in reading-slump and can't escape of it.

2. Don't Worry That You Were Left Behind, There Are No Deadlines In Reading
A fashion-follower people will follow what's on trend that week, or month, or year, and I'm more or less like that. When reading a book that released years ago, I kinda feel ashamed that I'm the only one that just read it. I kept telling myself that that's okay, no one cares, but honestly, I do. Because when they're discussing what they just read (which just comes out recently) I don't know what I should say.
This video might tell you how I feel, except mine's worst.

3. Stop The Envy!!
I'm full of sin. Envy is something that is hard to quit. I mean, won't you envy someone who get an ARC of a sequel of your favorite series while you don't? All people will, right? It's not just me, right? Right?!

4. Don't Feel Bad Because You Hate A Book Everyone Loves
I'm sure many people have at least one book that they hate but is loved by a lot of people. Don't feel bad, that's why the word 'Taste' is there -or so I keep telling myself-

5. Stop Forcing Your Recommendation To Your Friend
Because they're not a reader, and they won't likely read anything you recommend, so it's a waste of time.

Five Types Of Books I'll Quit Immediately

http://weheartit.com/entry/202377372/via/gertieparr

1. Cancer on Characters
Especially when the authors just want to make the book sad in the midle of the book but don't have the material and wholla cancer it is. It frustates me!! When the characters in a perfect condition in the previous chapter and then the next they have cancer?! No, I'm going to say goodbye to you. So long, I'll never remember you again.
BUT, I have an exception for characters who have cancer from the beginning of the book (Not The Fault In Our Stars!).

2. When The Girl Become Pissy
A.k.a demanding attention. Girls, boys don't rotate around you. So suck it up already!

3. When I Have Enough "F*@k" Word For One Book
Because I get sick that they have no other vocabulary beside that little four letters.

4. A Pillow Book (literaly)
When I'm so bored and yawn more than three times in just a few pages and the next thing I know I wake up with the book as my pillow is when I'll say "I don't think we'll match book, sorry". Well, who wouldn't?

5. Abnormal Attraction Between The Guy and The Girl
I'm looking at you Obsidian.

[Meme] TTT: I Want To Read Them.. Someday

This week's theme is freebie so I want to tell you Top Five Books that I want to read for a long time but haven't 'till this day. I know, I should give you ten but these are all that I remember for now, beside, if you count them per book, then they're more than ten, right? These books are popular but because of that popularity itself that I feel kinda intimidated before reading them.

Any novel by Jane Austen

Yes, I haven't read any. And watching the movies just makes me want to read them all. I watched adaptation movies for Bronte sisters' books too, but I'm not really sure I want to read them.
Anybook by Agatha Christie

I'm not going to lie, mistery isn't really my thing. But if you keep hearing good things about one author, don't you want to read one of his/her book also?
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

Come on! Who wasn't intimidated by this series? Just looking at one book makes me sick. It's so thick!
But I have them all, so I have to read them. Imidiately.
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I haven't read it so what?
It wasn't in my required reading in Middle School or High School. I don't have any required reading aside from text book, come to think of it.
The Lord Of The Ring by J.R.R Tolkien

I don't need to tell you the reasons right? I mean, It's so obvious.

[Meme] TTT: Can't Finish Those Finished Series

Berapa lama ya ngga ikutan Top Ten Tuesday? Udah lama banget banget kayaknya. Yah pokoknya ikutan lagi lah sekarang.

Tema Minggu Ini : Top Ten Finished Series You Have Yet To Finish

1. The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken
2. The Sweet Evil series by Windy Higgins

3. Divergent series by Veronica Roth
4. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
5. The Mortal Instrument by Cassandra Clare
6. The Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore
7. A Watersong Novel by Amanda Hocking

No. 3 - 5 emang ngga tahu kenapa, tapi no. 6 kayaknya sih karena aku kecewa aja karena ternyata The Graceling Realm itu merupakan standalones di setting yang sama, kayak Vandaria Saga gitu deh. Kalau baca review ku buat Graceling sih pasti tahu kenapa. Sementara no. 7, sepertinya aku cuma ngga sanggup aja buat bacanya -bagian ngeliat bekas makanannya mereka itu loh yang bikin enek-, lagian endingnya emang mau kayak apa? kutukannya udah jelas, sekali jadi siren bakalan tetep jadi siren, kalau menolak buat jadi siren lagi ya jalan keluarnya cuma mati.

Seri yang ngga akan aku terusin karena ngga suka buku pertamanya :

8. The Selection series by Kiera Cass
9. The Murder Complex series by Lindy Cummings
10. Across The Universe series by Beth Revis

Kalau buku pertama aja aku ngga suka, ngapain nerusin sampe buku terakhir? Intinya kan gitu.

[Meme] Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

2014 Releases I Didn't Get To Read

Truthfully, there are sooo many books that released last year that I really wanted to read but couldn't, most of them are series, which meant I had to read the previous books first. But today I'll only list books that stand alones (well, one of them is a trilogy), so here are them.

1. To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
I forgot why I wanted to read this one, maybe because of the fuzz at the time, or something. Besides, They all said Jenny Han is an amazing author.
2. What I Thought Was True by Huntly Fitzpatrick
I was just reading My Life Next Door by the same author and I loved it, I wanted to read another book by her but till now, I haven't even picked it out.

Honestly, I don't really like making a TBR list, it's kind of limiting my reading list, like scheduling it, and I like reading something on a whim instead. But well, if I have to schedule my TBR list for winter, I guess these are those.

[Meme] Top Ten Tuesday : Top Ten Books I Want To Reread

http://www.brokeandbookish.com/p/top-ten-tuesday-other-features.html

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by ladies from The Broke AndBookish. Something to show off your bookish list of each theme. And this week's theme is Books I Want To Reread. Rereading a book is something I do occasionally, but it doesn’t mean I rarely do it. In fact, I do it often, especially after I was done reading some books. It’s just I kinda confused what to read next and somehow I ended up rereading my books. More like, I was afraid I’d be disappointed with new books so I looked up the books I already loved and sure that they were good. Something like that, I guess.
So, these are the books that I usually reread.

[Meme] Top Ten Tuesday : Ten Authors We've Only Read One Book From & NEED To Read More!

Top Ten Tuesday is a fun weekly meme by Ladies in The Broke and the Bookish. I’ve always reading other people’s Top Ten Tuesday and for once i want to participate tooooo.

This week’s topic is Ten Authors We've Only Read One Book From & NEED To Read More.

It’s a hard one for me. Because i’m someone who, when finished reading a book and liked it, i would authomatically (like, literaly) searching his/her other books and read them. So i don’t get ten for this topic (the exact topic). Sigh.

Let's just begin shall we?
